Description about the Exam :

This is a golden opportunity for candidates who have skills in Stenographyto get placement in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). SSC conducts an Open Competitive Computer Based examination to recruit Stenographers Grade C and Stenographers Grade D for various Ministries / Departments / Organizations in the Government of India. The exam is conducted at the national level. SSC has not invited applications yet, but the notification is expected to be released in due course of time.

Candidates should be in the age limit of 18 to 30 years for applying for Stenographers Grade C post and in the age limit of 18 to 27 years for applying for Stenographers Grade D post. Relaxation of age is permissible as per Government rules.A pass in 12^th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University is essential for applying.

Candidates who possess all the essential requirements can apply online by visiting https://ssc.nic.in. Bothmales andfemales can apply for Stenographers Grade C post, whereas only males are eligible for stenographers Grade D post.

SELECTION :

Selection of candidates will be based on a Written Examination and a Skill test in stenography. The written exam includes three parts; part I comprises of 50 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, part II comprises of 50 questions from General Awareness, part III comprises of 100 questionsfrom English Language and Comprehension. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. The questions will be of objective type and will be bilingual. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
