TNPSC Group 4 exam is the most popular exam in Tamil Nadu. The exam is awaited by many candidates as the minimum qualification required is SSLC. Every year, lakhs of people apply and appear for the exam. But, not all candidates are able to clear the examination and get the job. Description about the Book :

TNPSC Group IV CCSE-IV is a combined exam of Group IV and VAO examinations. A vast number of candidates for Assistant cadre in Govt. offices will be recruited by TNPSC. The notification for 2021 recruitment is yet to be released.Looking into the previous years’ notifications, it is estimated that around 9000+ vacancies may arise. Vacancies will be filled for the following posts: Village Administrative Officer, Junior Assistant (Non-Security and Security post), Grade I Bill Collectors, Field Surveyors, Draftsman, Typist and Steno-typist (Grade III).

Eligibility Criteria :

The minimum educational qualification required for all posts is 10^th standard/SSLC. For the post of Typist and Steno-typist, candidates should have also passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and a Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation.  They should have completed either of the following courses in Typing:

-          Higher/Senior Grade in Tamil or English (or)

-          Higher/Senior Grade in Tamil and lower/Junior Grade in English (or)

-          Higher/ Senior Grade in English and lower in/Junior            Grade in Tamil

The minimum age for all categories is 21 years. The maximum age for SC, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute widows of all castes is 40 years and for all other castes, it is 30 years. However, relaxation of age is permitted as per Govt. rules.

Scheme of Examination :

An objective type paper of SSLC standard will be asked for 300 marks. The paper will consist of the following subjects: General studies for 75 marks, Aptitude test for 25 marks and General Tamil/ General English for 100 marks. Candidates can choose either General Tamil or General English as the third subject. All questions in General Studies and Aptitude test will be framed in English and Tamil.
