George K. Thomas is the founder of Prayukti, an NGO working for the betterment of people crippled by accidents.

George was only 24 when he had met with an accident while travelling on a motor bike. Ironically, his spinal cord was injured beyond healing due to improper care at the accident site.

With due support from his family and friends, he has courageously accepted the situation with dignity. He has become an inspiration to others and motivates people who are also unfortunate victims of road accidents like him to realize their potential. His positive approach and deeply rooted self belief have inspired a lot of youngsters, who have found themselves in the same boat – crippled and bed ridden for the rest of their life.

George feels that all the accidents are avoidable. He strongly feels that all accidents should be avoided in future. According to him it is the ignorance and arrogance of drivers which are the root causes behind every accident. George sincerely feels that things will change far better in near future.

According to George Allen, “health, happiness and success depend upon the fighting spirit of each person. The big things are not what happens to us in life but what we do about what happens to us.”
